This piece is created by the fine artist Anthony High. Mr. High is well-known in the Kansas City art arena and has taught art for several years in the Kansas City school system. This poster depicts a young man in a bullet-proof vest. Anthony High reflects that it should not have to come to this. We can and should do better.
This piece was done by fine artist Ben Mercer. Mr. Mercer has compiled an impressive list of achievement’s in art and photography. His work has appeared in several publications including Focus Kansas City; Endless Journey’s, Photographer’s Forum, Best of Photography Annual, and several magazine covers. He has work in the permanent collections of the Nerman Gallery at Johnson County Community College, and the University of Kansas Preservation Alliance, and several private collections.
